Resumo: The Kilo-Degree Survey (KiDS) is mapping 1500 square degrees of sky using the ESO VLT Survey Telescope, a wide-field imaging telescope on Paranal. I will discuss the recent results presented in Hildebrandt et al (2016, 1606.05338) from a tomographic analysis of the matter power spectrum using weak gravitational lensing, as well as the implications of the measurements for cosmology.
